It has been awhile

Hi everyone!

Well, I don't know if anyone will actually read this, but here's my spiel anyway.

So yes, I've been gone for a long time (a year to be exact). I got busy, life got in the way, I had other things to do, etc. Manipulations just didn't fit into my life, and I was more interested in doing other things. So what have I been up to, you ask? Lots of things. I have a boyfriend now (we've been together 8 months as of tomorrow), I studied abroad in India for a semester, and I did a lot of traveling. India was amazing, by the way. I have been back home for a few weeks now, and I already miss it terribly. I also have an internship coming up in Washington D.C. in the fall. I don't know for what organization I'll be working just yet, but I am hoping to intern at the Department of Justice. I am also currently looking for a summer job.

As you can see, I have a pretty busy life now.

Anyway, I wanted to just let you all know that I'm still alive. I may make a few things here and there. I actually came on here today to look for some stock, so that may materialize into something or other. I hope you are all doing well and, from the looks of it, so many of you have grown as artists. I can't go through the 10,000+ deviations in my deviantWatch, but the ones I did glance at look amazing.

Also, thank you to those who favorited my works, left comments, or added me to their watches. I appreciate the support, and I'm sorry I cannot thank each of you individually.

As you may have noticed (or maybe you didn't), I took an unplanned couple month hiatus from DA. Long story short, I got busy with school, got a job, etc. Anyway, I thought I'd just update this to let people know that I'm not dead, and to thank you all collectively for the numerous favorites, comments, and watches I've received during my absence. I'd love to go through and thank you all individually, but I haven't the time.

I'd also like to say that I probably won't be making any manips any time soon. I won't say never because things happen and I could suddenly have a bout of inspiration, but it's highly unlikely. I just don't see the point anymore, frankly. And I can't say I miss making them either...

P.S. I've also cleared out my To Do list. Sorry to anyone that was expecting something, but I haven't the motivation or time to make it.

So I think making some requests for people will be really good for me. I hope to improve greatly on my work, and perhaps get good enough to (someday) offer commissions. The problem for me, I suppose, is that I am having a hard time settling into a style. I want to be different and not just follow the crowd, but it's proving difficult. I mean, I know what sorts of things and techniques I could incorporate into my work, but I don't want my work to be a copy of say, PerfectPerfection or Devils-Horizon. I'm thinking of researching some classical artists again and seeing if I can spark an idea or two that way.
